Indicative only. Uses about 1 700 kWh per kWp a year for Ermelo (PVGIS 5.3, north-facing, 26° tilt) and typical South African installed costs of R12 000 to R18 000 per kWp. Home estimates assume a battery. The payback after Section 12B assumes the 27% company tax rate.

FAQ

Questions we get before a quote

How much does a solar system cost?

It depends on your load, the mounting and whether storage is included. As a market guide, commercial systems in South Africa typically install at about R12 000 to R18 000 per kWp in 2026; home systems are priced mainly by the inverter and battery. Send a recent electricity account and you get a real number instead of a guess.

Will solar keep me running when the power goes?

Only if the system has storage. A grid-tied system switches off when the supply drops, for the safety of anyone working on the line. A hybrid system with a battery keeps running, sized to the circuits you chose to protect.

Do you install for businesses and farms, or only homes?

Both. We design and install for plants, cold storage, packhouses, poultry, dairies, retail, lodges, farms and homes, from a few kWp to large commercial arrays.

Can I finance a system?

Yes. ADSFinance is our in-house funding programme. We set out the cash price and the financed option side by side, so you can compare the monthly saving with the monthly instalment before you decide.

Where do you work?

Our head office is in Ermelo, Mpumalanga, at 10 Kerk Street. We also have offices in Pretoria, Nelspruit and Kimberley and install across South Africa.

Which equipment do you use?

Brands such as Deye, Sunsynk, JA Solar, Trina Solar, Freedom Won, GreenRich and TW Solar, chosen for the job rather than for a supplier deal.

Do I need approval from the municipality or Eskom?

Most grid-connected systems must be registered with the supply authority as small-scale embedded generation, and the rules differ between municipalities. We work through what applies to your supply point and hand over with a Certificate of Compliance.

What happens after installation?

Remote monitoring from day one and an annual maintenance visit. If generation drops, we see it in the data before it shows up on your account.
